Hello readers, who in the farming and agriculture world does not know the menace of weeds growing around and taking over our crops? A brush cutter comes handy in such scenarios to helo us get rif of such weeds in no time. It saves a lot of efforts and time even though guzzling on fossil fuel (read petrol or gasoline) and spewing lot of smoke while screaming on the top of it’s voice.
Of late our Cheap, Chinese, 52cc, 4 stroke brush cutter has been troubling us a lot. Lot of starting issues, pulling the recoil starter cable for hundreds of times and not starting even once. I got frustrated and decided to open its heart out and see if it needs an open heart surgery. I have never done such a feat before and this is going to be a first time ever I am opening any gasoline engine in my life. So, please bear with my poor performance or shortcomings. While I took photos at each step of the disassembly process, it might be so that I missed some photos. Let’s see how it goes.
In this image, the top cover of the brush cutter has been removed and the tappet cover, the silencer, carburettor are visible. With the top cover out, I can now get access to the other nuts and bolts to pry open the heart of this mini beast which has been denying on my face bluntly that it will not start howmuchever I pull its tail (recoil starter cord handle).
